Dr Clark undertook a further independent monitoring consultant visit to the Derba Midroc Cement plant in Ethiopia visiting the factory on 25th February.

These are difficult times in Ethiopia with the state of emergency having been reinstated and the Prime Minister having resigned. Thankfully the social disturbances have not impacted on the Derba Midroc cement plant, perhaps as a consequence of the major social investments they have made in the local communities providing water supply, electricity transformers and clinics. Corporate Social Responsibility does pay off!
