Whitehopleman was delighted to read on CemNet Newsroom on 16th February 2018 that Arkan has posted an AED30m + profit following the closure of the Emirates cement factory.

Nevertheless, Whitehopleman also has fond memories of the benchmarking audit undertaken on the Emirates cement factory in 2013. Since then Arkan’s Al Ain cement factory has been commissioned with its 10,000 t/d kiln and therefore the writing was probably on the wall for the Emirates factory.

Hopefully most of our friends from the Emirates factory found employment at the Al Ain factory.
